Serenity Vet facilitates these connections and handles payments but does not employ the professionals or oversee their services.

Who sets prices for a shift?

Veterinary Clinics choose the rate they pay for relief shifts. Serenity Vet does not dictate any prices.

What is the platform fee and who pays it?

Serenity Vet collects a 20% transaction fee paid by the veterinary clinic. It is not taken from the veterinarian’s pay.

How does payment processing work?

Payments for completed shifts are securely processed via Stripe. Clinics are billed for the shift cost, Serenity Vet’s service fee, and any Stripe processing fees. Professionals receive payment within a few days of completing a shift, directly into the bank account they provide.

Can I continue to use other relief services if I sign up with Serenity Vet?

Yes, all we ask is if the relief professional and clinic connected through Serenity Vet that those two parties continue booking on our platform. It is the users responsibility to follow any guidelines set by other platforms.

Can Serenity Vet suspend or terminate accounts?

Yes. Serenity Vet may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of the User Agreement, such as providing false information, disregarding platform guidelines, attempting unauthorized transactions, or engaging in fraudulent or inappropriate behavior.

How does Serenity Vet protect my information?

Serenity Vet prioritizes data security and adheres to a strict Privacy Policy. Personal information is used only for account management, payment processing, and service improvement. Aggregated or de-identified data may be used for analytics, ensuring personal details remain secure.

What are the responsibilities of professionals using the platform?

Professionals must provide accurate licensing and credential information, keep their records current, and deliver services competently. They are also required to avoid accepting payments outside the platform and maintain necessary liability insurance.

What if I disagree with changes to the User Agreement?

If you disagree with any updates to the User Agreement, you may stop using the platform. Continued use of the platform indicates acceptance of the updated terms.

What should I do if my payment is delayed?

Ensure your bank details in the platform are accurate and up-to-date. Serenity Vet processes payments promptly, but delays caused by incorrect information or banking systems are beyond its control. You may also contact our support team for assistance.

How does Serenity Vet handle fee changes?

Serenity Vet reserves the right to update or introduce new fees, including service or processing fees. Users will be notified of these changes, and it is their responsibility to review the updated fee structure.

Do I receive a W-2 or 1099 for my work through Serenity Vet?

Relief veterinarians working through Serenity Vet are considered independent contractors. You will receive a 1099 form for tax purposes if you earn $600 or more during the year.

Does Serenity Vet withhold taxes from my payments?

No, as an independent contractor, Serenity Vet does not withhold taxes. You are responsible for managing your tax obligations, including federal, state, and self-employment taxes.
